Add Joy to your life

One of the ways of adding joy to your life is by choosing clothes that make you happy.

I shared during the Style Masterclasses I delivered in lockdown, that how we dress releases positive or negative hormones in our bodies.

Here’s how to release those positive joyful hormones in your style:

1.       Be intentional

The start of joyful style is your foundation wear. Your underwear.

Choose lingerie that fits you well.

Lingerie that’s comfortable and gentle on your body.

It can match or not, just make sure it feels great on your skin.

(Most women wear the wrong size bra, so book a fitting with an expert).

2.       Wear your favourites

Your favourite clothes don’t need to be occasional wear. It can be your favourite trainers or jackets.

No more saving your clothes for a later date.

Wear your favourites now!

3.       Wear lots of colours

We love wearing black and dark clothes in the western world. Conversely in developing countries they wear more colour and have a more optimistic outlook on life. It’s scientifically proven that wearing brighter colours lifts your mood. So, wear colour! Lots of it! You will feel and look so much better for it.

4.       Add fragrance

This is the season for floral/fruity light fragrances.

Wear a summery fragrance to finish off your look.

If you aren’t good with selecting fragrances, plan a cheeky lunch or dinner date with a friend who loves fragrances.

You can’t beat friends, fun and fragrances.

5.       Comfort is king!

As many of you know, I don’t believe in compromising your comfort for fashion. Both can work beautifully together.

So, wear pieces that are comfortable and kind on your skin.

It’s so important that we are gentle with ourselves.

To add joy to your wardrobe (literally and figuratively) speaking 😊
